Welcome to The Beam Studio, a small, characterful laser engraving workshop nestled deep in rural Perthshire. Surrounded by rolling hills, ancient woodlands, my Highland ponies grazing in our fields, and all kept company by a slightly eccentric border collie with a penchant for chasing anything that moves, my studio is more than just a workspace — it’s a celebration of countryside life, traditional craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.

Throughout my life, I’ve always harboured a deep-rooted passion for creativity, art, and thoughtful design. Yet, like many, my professional journey initially took me down a very different path. It wasn’t until later that I found the courage to turn my lifelong love of making beautiful, meaningful things into something tangible — and so, The Beam Studio was born. It’s a place where creativity and craftsmanship meet modern technology, allowing me to capture moments, names, and memories in timber and beyond, creating pieces that will last for years to come.

At The Beam Studio, I specialise in handcrafted oak signs and bespoke engraved pieces for stables, homes, and thoughtful gifting. Every item I produce is individually designed, engraved, and finished by hand, using sustainably sourced Scottish oak from a local sawmill. This ensures not only the highest quality and character in every piece of timber I work with, but also helps me support other small, rural businesses and preserve traditional skills within our community.

But I don’t just stop at signs. Over time, I’ve expanded our range to include a growing collection of engraved gifts, keepsakes, and personalised treasures. From beautifully etched bottles, chopping boards, plaques, and decorative homeware, we love creating pieces that mark life’s milestones and special moments.
